“Evolving With Time.”
The Aquatimer “Expedition Charles Darwin” is a watch with a soul. Crafted to honor the famous voyage of the HMS Beagle, it utilizes bronze—a material synonymous with nautical history. Unlike stainless steel which remains static, this watch interacts with its environment. The humidity, sea air, and your own skin chemistry will cause the case to oxidize, creating a personalized shield of patina.
Design & Craftsmanship
Marine Bronze Case:
The 44mm case is machined from a special copper-aluminium alloy. Fresh out of the box, it has a warm, reddish-gold hue. Over weeks and months, it will darken into a rich, matte brown, giving it a rugged, vintage tool-watch character that looks like it has survived a century at sea.
Warm Glow:
To match the bronze case, the luminescence on the hands, indices, and the internal diving scale is rendered in a warm, beige tone. This contrasts softly against the matte black dial, ensuring excellent legibility without the harshness of pure white lume.
Darwin’s Portrait:
Flip the watch over to reveal a stunning tribute: a detailed portrait of Charles Darwin engraved on the caseback. It depicts him late in life, with his iconic beard, serving as a reminder of the spirit of discovery that drives this timepiece.

On The Wrist
Bronze has a unique weight and warmth that steel cannot match. The 44mm case feels solid and purposeful. As it ages, it loses its “shiny new watch” look and transforms into a rugged artifact that tells the story of your adventures. It pairs exceptionally well with casual wear, leather jackets, or maritime gear.
