“The 10,000 G Tourbillon.”
The RM 27-03 Tourbillon redefines the limits of mechanical watchmaking. Famous for its vibrant red and yellow case inspired by the clay courts of Roland Garros and the Spanish flag, this timepiece is built for pure performance. It is renowned for its ability to withstand shocks of up to 10,000 g’s—a world record in the industry—making it the ultimate sports watch for high-impact activities.
Technical Mastery
Quartz TPT Case:
The vivid striped case is achieved by impregnating fine layers of silica with tinted resins (red and yellow). These layers are stacked at 45-degree angles and heated to 120°C before being machined. The result is a material that is ultra-lightweight, non-allergenic, and highly resistant to UV rays and micro-cracks.
Unibody Baseplate:
The skeletonized unibody baseplate is machined from Carbon TPT. By fusing the caseband and baseplate into a single piece, the watch achieves unparalleled rigidity. The “Bull’s Head” V-shaped bridges distribute forces evenly, protecting the tourbillon cage from extreme impacts.
Performance Movement:
The manual-winding tourbillon movement features a fast-rotating barrel (6 hours per revolution instead of 7.5), which reduces internal mainspring adhesion and improves performance. It delivers a substantial power reserve of approximately 70 hours.
