“The Return of The Beast.”
The Offshore “1993 Re-Edition” is a time capsule on the wrist. Released to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the very first Offshore model, it brings back the bold, controversial design that shocked the watch world in the 90s. Unlike modern iterations, this model stays true to the original specs, offering a pure, unadulterated experience of the watch famously nicknamed “The Beast.”
Design & Craftsmanship
Petite Tapisserie Dial:
While modern Offshores use the large “Méga” grid, this re-edition returns to the classic “Petite Tapisserie” (small grid) pattern found on the 1993 original. The deep blue color is identical to the first generation, offering a sophisticated texture that looks more refined and vintage than its aggressive successors.
Blue Rubber Details:
A defining feature of the original design is the use of blue rubber cladding on the chronograph pushers and crown. This soft-touch material provides excellent grip and adds a distinctive pop of color that sets this model apart from all other steel chronographs in the lineup.
Solid Steel Architecture:
The 42mm case feels incredibly solid. It is paired with a heavy-duty integrated steel bracelet that gives the watch significant presence and weight. The solid caseback is engraved with the “Royal Oak Offshore” logo, just like the 1993 piece, hiding the anti-magnetic soft-iron inner cage within.

On The Wrist
This watch is heavy, bold, and unapologetic—exactly how it was intended to be. The 42mm size wears larger due to the prominent pushers and bezel gasket. It is a piece of history that commands respect from anyone who knows the lineage of luxury sports watches.
