“Nothing to Hide.”
The Sapphire Tourbillon is the ultimate expression of technical purity. Machining a complex tonneau case from a single block of sapphire crystal is one of the most difficult challenges in watchmaking, taking hundreds of hours. The result is a watch that is virtually invisible, allowing the mechanical heart to float in mid-air on your wrist.
Design & Craftsmanship
Solid Sapphire Case:
The bezel, caseband, and caseback are crafted from solid sapphire blocks. With a hardness rating of 1,800 Vickers (only diamond is harder), it is completely scratch-resistant. The transparency allows light to flood the movement from every angle, creating a mesmerizing play of reflections.
Tubular Architecture:
The movement plate is a three-dimensional lattice of tubular bridges. This design is inspired by the roll cages of race cars, providing extreme structural rigidity. In this sapphire version, the industrial metal bridges contrast sharply with the crystal-clear case.
Genuine Flying Tourbillon:
Visible at 6 o’clock, the genuine tourbillon cage rotates once every minute. It is the beating heart of the watch, counteracting gravity to ensure precision. Watching the escapement work through the transparent case side is a unique experience reserved for the most exclusive timepieces.
